At the end of my previous post, I mentioned about spending bitcoin with the Shift Card, here is a simple talk thru of how it works.
Make it simple: Shift Card is one of the bitcoin debit card. It is tangible and is just like your VISA credit card. Since it is “debit”, you need to top up the card with Bitcoin so to pay the bill in restaurant.
How to top up?
Most of these debit cards come with a mobile app, in which you can top up and track all transaction.
Here are a few debit card you may have seen before:
Shift Card
As long as the shop accepts VISA card, it accepts this.
Wirex
Personally I think this is the most beautiful one among all I have seen so far. Shops accept this one as long as they accept Master Card.
ANX
You can cash out from ATM anywhere, do shopping where Bitcoin debit card is accepted.
Unfortunately Japan is still behind this technology, so the choice of debit card is extremely limited. I hope this technology will get more recognition so the market would start responding.

前回の記事に、Shift Cardを使ってBitcoinを利用することを書きました。今回はすこし説明致します。
シンプルにすると、Shift Cardはただデビットカードの一つです。クレジットカードカードのような実物です。「デビット」なので、例えばレストランで使う前にチャージしなければなりません。
どうチャージするの？
このようなデビットカードは大体モバイルアプリと共に提供されます。アプリで自分の全てのトランザクションがトラッキングすることができます。
マーケット上に様々なデビットカードがありますが、例としてこいうのはあります：
Shift Card
店舗側はVISAカードが使えるなら、こちらのカードも利用できます。
Wirex
個人的には、見たことあるカードの中で、このカードは一番かっこいいです。店舗側はMasterカードが使えるなら、こちらのカードも利用できます。
ANX
MasterとVISAカードでもありませんが、このカードさえ持てれば、海外トラベルする時に、ATMから現金を引き出すことができます。かつ、Bitcoinデビットカードを利用可能な店舗で使えます。
残念ですが、日本ではBitcoinに関するサービスはまだまだ浸透されていません。上記のようなデビットカードの選択肢もなかなか限られています。これからより浸透できると良いですね。
